Standard (Intermediate) Hashi Puzzles
10×10 gridThe classic Hashi experience on a 10×10 grid
Standard puzzles are the heart of Hashi — a 10×10 grid with 14 to 20 islands, large enough to reward careful deduction but focused enough to solve in a single sitting. This is where you move beyond simple corner analysis and start chaining deductions: an island here forces a bridge there, which closes off a path across the board, which resolves a cluster on the other side. Standard difficulty spans a full range from relaxed to genuinely challenging depending on how the islands are arranged.

Tips for Standard Puzzles
- Look for high-value islands (6, 7, or 8) early. An island numbered 8 on a 10×10 grid almost always forces double bridges in multiple directions.
- Track your "bridge budget." If an island needs 4 bridges and has only 3 legal neighbors, one of those neighbors must be doubled.
- Islands connected by a forced bridge can be treated as a single unit temporarily — simplifying what looks like a tangle into a cleaner sub-problem.
