Tips for Easy Hashi Puzzles

  • Start with islands in corners or along edges — they have fewer possible neighbors, so their bridges are often forced.
  • An island numbered 1 can only connect to a single neighbor. Find it, draw that bridge, and mark the island as complete.
  • Two adjacent islands whose numbers add up to the maximum possible bridges between them must be fully connected — draw both bridges immediately.
  • Work outward from your confirmed bridges. Every bridge you place constrains what the surrounding islands can do.

Easy puzzles reward a methodical left-to-right, top-to-bottom scan. One forced move usually unlocks several more.
